Adrian Binks

Adrian Binks, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Adrian Binks is the Chairman and CEO of the Argus Media group of companies.

He has over 30 years’ experience in the international oil industry and travels extensively to speak at major energy industry events.

Adrian joined Argus in 1984 as editor of its flagship newsletter Weekly Petroleum Argus. Adrian was educated at Cambridge University where he took his BA and MA degrees in modern history.

Adrian appears regularly on television for the BBC, CNN and NBC and has written from time to time for the Financial Times, the Economist, the Observer and many other newspapers. He is a member of the International Association of Energy Economists. 

Stuart Ashman

Stuart Ashman, Company Secretary

Stuart Ashman is the Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of the Argus Media group of companies. He joined Argus in 1999 having previously worked in accounting and finance roles in practice and banking in Australia and retail in the UK.

Stuart was educated at the University of Tasmania and has been a member of the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants for over 20 years. 

Neil Bradford

Neil Bradford, Chief Operating Officer

Neil Bradford is Chief Operating Officer for Argus, based in London.  Neil joined Argus in 2010, overseeing all global operations, leading Argus’ technology development and merger and acquisition activity.

Neil started his career at McKinsey, and then co-founded Fletcher Research, a technology information firm, which he sold to Forrester Research in 1999.  He subsequently became President, Americas for Forrester Research in Boston, MA.  Most recently he was CEO of WGSN, a global information business for the fashion and style industries.

Neil was educated at Oxford University where he took his BA and MA degrees in geography.

Peter Caddy

Peter Caddy, Head of Business Development

Peter Caddy is Director of Global Business Development and has been a director of Argus since 1993. He is responsible for the strategic direction of business development and for global market reporting.

Peter has worked at Argus for over 25 years in different parts of the world, including heading Argus’ Asian and US operations. Peter has been intensively involved in oil market pricing during this period and also launched Argus’ non-oil (gas, power and coal) services between 1995 and 2001.

Peter has a PhD from the School of Oriental and African Studies, London, and an MA from Cambridge University.

Chris Fosberry

Chris Fosberry, Chief Technology Officer

Chris Fosberry joined Argus in 2011 as the Chief Technology Officer. He is responsible for leading our global technology, customer support and IT operations.

Chris started his career in IT but later moved into technical product management and software development. Chris has held a number of senior technical positions in software and publishing organisations, leading product management and development functions at both iDOX and iSOFT and more recently at Reed Business Information, where he was Head of Technology at ICIS.

Cindy Galvin

 Cindy Galvin, Managing Editor

Cindy Galvin is the Managing Editor for Argus in London.

Cindy has over 20 years’ experience in energy, most of this spent as a broker and consultant in the global nuclear fuel industry. She joined Argus in 2001 to design and launch Argus Power Europe and since 2004 has been managing the UK editorial team and the company’s global network of freelance writers.

Cindy was a founding member of The Uranium Exchange Company, a US-based global nuclear fuel brokerage and consulting firm that provided benchmark pricing for nuclear fuel components. After spending time in South Africa, she left in 1998 to form her own consulting firm and move to London. CSG Consulting provided strategic consulting and contract negotiation help to the global nuclear fuel industry and contributed articles to nuclear publications.

Cindy’s early career included work as a journalist with Fairchild Publications and McGraw-Hill. She has undergraduate degrees in philosophy and political science and an MA in journalism.

Seana Lanigan

Seana Lanigan, Strategic Marketing Manager

Seana Lanigan is responsible for Argus’ marketing operations in Europe and Africa. She started her career in energy markets as a researcher at the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies, where she worked on studies of Brent crude trading, congestion charging, gas substitution and carbon emission abatement. She also taught energy policy at Green College, Oxford.

Her first role at Argus was as a market reporter on the crude and products markets, which she began in 1990. She later edited the Argus European Products report.

Seana also worked at the International Petroleum Exchange (IPE) (now Ice futures) where she was responsible for press relations and corporate marketing. She left IPE to run international operations at Applied Derivatives Trading, an online magazine covering financial and commodity derivatives. She subsequently became Senior Vice-President and ran European operations for the Global Association of Risk Professionals, before rejoining Argus in her new role in 2003.

Jo Loudiadis

Jo Loudiadis, Commercial Manager, Europe

Jo Loudiadis is Commercial Manager for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia, based in London. Jo joined Argus in 2008 and is responsible for commercial structure and direction.

She manages key client and third party relationships within the EMEA and Russia region. Jo works alongside the respective sales and marketing teams, developing commercial strategy and relationships. Before joining Argus, Jo worked for McGraw Hill companies including Standard & Poors and Platts, where she undertook a variety of roles in Sales Management and Business Development.

Peter Ramsay

Peter Ramsay, Business Development Manager

Peter Ramsay is responsible for Argus’ generation fuels business. Natural gas and LNG are Peter’s specialist areas, but he has also worked extensively on power, coal and emissions through his work on generation economics.

Peter started his career at Argus in 2000, becoming Editor of the Argus European Natural Gas report in 2003, which is recognised as the leading source of daily natural gas market analysis in Europe.

In 2007, he joined energy price forecaster Eclipse Energy Group, working as a Senior Analyst in Oslo and London. Peter then moved to BP as a Lead Analyst in its European gas trading team. He returned to Argus in 2011 with over a decade’s experience in Europe’s energy markets.

Phillip Shaw

Phillip Shaw, VP, Consultancy Services

Philip Shaw is Vice-President, Consultancy Services, based in London. He is responsible for Argus’ advisory work globally, ensuring that the company’s research projects are delivered to the highest possible standards.

Philip started his career at BP before moving into energy consulting, working with Accenture and latterly Deloitte, where he worked with a range of oil and gas companies delivering projects across the upstream and downstream sectors. Prior to joining Argus in 2011, he ran the research and advisory practice at Energy Intelligence Group.

Philip trained as an engineer at Nottingham University, and was awarded Chartered Engineer status by the Institute of Petroleum. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, which has published several of his papers in recent years.
