Houston, 20 June (Argus) — Valero idled its 7,800 b/d ethanol plant in Albion, Nebraska, due to poor margins but expects to return the plant to service later this year.
The plant is the only one of Valero's 10 ethanol facilities to shut down. Valero bought the plant in 2009.
“We will restart production when margins improve, expected to be well before the harvest,” company spokesman Bill Day said.
