Argus held its fifth annual Argus Neftetransport conference on 21-22 May 2015 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Over 100 participants took part, representing the markets of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Russia, Slovakia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Switzerland. Delegates discussed various aspects of crude and products logistic operations in the FSU.

The conference was held in co-operation with ISR Holding and with the support of Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company, Cross Caspian Oil and Gas Logistics and BaltTransServis.

On the first day delegates discussed transportation issues in Russia and the Caspian region, including on inland waterways, and the impact of rising rail tariffs and surplus rolling stock. The session ended with a round table discussion that focused on competition between rail and pipeline transportation and shipment methods. In the evening networking drinks were held followed by a buffet supper in the Baku yacht club.

The topic for the second day was new infrastructure projects in the pipeline, transshipment and rail sectors.

Participants included: Socar, Socar Trading, Rosnefteflot, Transneft, Gazpromneft, Batumi Sea Port, Lukoil, Azpetrol, Oteko, MRP-Tanker, TengizTransGroup, VF Tanker, NefteTransServis, Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan and Ministry of Transport of Azerbaijan.
