Andeavor completes first Mexico fuel shipment: Update

Adds source of shipment from company.

Houston, 18 October (Argus) — US refiner Andeavor earlier this month moved its first delivery of fuel into western Mexican pipelines and terminals leased from Pemex, the company said today.

Andeavor's wholesale distributor Profuels will this week move fuel delivered to the Pemex Rosarito terminal in Baja California to Arco brand stations. The US independent refiner's west coast facilities shipped the fuel to Rosarito earlier this month.

Andeavor secured 315,000 bl of storage space and 9,535 b/d of pipeline capacity in Sonora and Baja California in Pemex's first tender for such space, held in May.

Pemex plans a second tender for pipeline and terminal space but has not given a date. Last week Pemex chief executive Jose Antonio Gonzalez Anaya said the open season would [occur in the next month to month-and-a-half]
