Headline:  Kenya buys crude, products for August-October Printer friendly

Nairobi, 23 July (Argus) — Kenya is buying two 600,000 bl cargoes of Abu Dhabi Murban crude from Addax and Gulf Energy for its 70,000 b/d Mombasa refinery, delivering in late September/early October.

Addax offered to supply the Murban crude cargo at a premium of $0.58/bl to the Adnoc official price formula on a cfr basis. The cargo is to be delivered to the Kipevu Oil Terminal (KOT) at Mombasa for 17-19 September.

Gulf Energy will supply the second Murban cargo at a premium of $0.83/bl to the Adnoc official price on a cfr basis, for 1-3 October delivery.

Kenya is also buying a total of 650,000 bl of petroleum products from Gulf Energy and domestic marketing firm Gapco.

Gulf Energy is supplying 207,000 bl of jet fuel, for delivery to KOT on 15-17 August. The cargo was sold by Gulf Energy at a premium of $21.44/t to Mopag prices on a cfr basis.

Gulf Energy will also supply 268,000 bl of 0.5pc sulphur diesel, for 29-31 August arrival at KOT, at a premium of $19.94/bl to Mopag prices on a cfr basis.

Gapco will supply 170,000 bl of gasoline, for arrival at the KOT on 22-24 August, at a premium of $6.30/t to Mopag prices on a cfr basis.
