Norwegian LNG cargo set for UK's Dragon terminal

London, 26 July (Argus) — Two additional LNG cargoes have been added to the UK's shipping schedule.

A Norwegian delivery aboard the 140,000m³ Arctic Voyager is expected to arrive at the Dragon LNG terminal in south Wales on 31 July. This is the second Snohvit-loaded cargo to land at the terminal this month.

Meanwhile, two Qatari cargoes are expected to land in the UK — probably South Hook also in south Wales — in the first half of August. The 216,200m³ Mesaimeer was still without a confirmed arrival time, but was in the Red Sea this afternoon, heading for Suez, putting it more than a week away from the UK. And the 210,000m³ Al Safliya is expected to arrive at Milford Haven on 14 August. The vessel probably left the Mideast Gulf at the weekend on its way to Suez.

Barring the scheduling of any additional cargoes, or a delay to planned deliveries, July LNG imports amounted to no more than around 1.5mn m³, around 475,000m³ less than the combined capacity of vessels arriving in June.

Overall UK LNG stocks rose over the weekend following the arrival of Trinidadian and Qatari deliveries to Milford Haven. At the start of today's gas day, LNG on hand in terminal tanks stood at nearly 1mn m³, having bottomed out at just under 775,000m³ on the morning of Friday 23 July.
