Cairn India hikes Rajasthan output
London, 27 July (Argus) — Cairn India's production from fields that it operates in Rajasthan, northwest India, is now running at 100,000 b/d after the start-up of the second and third processing trains in May and June. Production was 60,000 b/d in mid-June.
The project remains on track to reach 125,000 b/d in the second half of this year. Development drilling indicated that production of 150,000 b/d is possible, the company said.
Sales agreements covering 143,000 b/d are in place, Cairn India's parent, London-listed Cairn Energy, said in June. Pipeline sales to private-sector refiners Reliance and Essar began in June. Sales to India's state-owned IOC began this month.
