Argus data is available as regularly updated
data files which contain all the data for a specific Argus report (eg
Argus Crude, or Argus European Natural Gas) or as customised one-off
historical collections for specific price assessments. The following information
concerns the regular Argus data files.
Argus data files are grouped into modules that contain the numerical
data for a single report or newsletter. Argus uses codes to represent
the numerical data from the reports. The explanation (data dictionary)
of these formats can be found in the documentation
section of this website.
Argus constantly makes improvements to its publications to reflect the
current energy markets most accurately. Argus announces any changes to
the data content by email, and on this website in the announcements
section.
Occasionally it is necessary for Argus to issue corrections to published
data. This occurs when an inaccuracy or omission is discovered, Argus
publishes no more than one correction file per day per module. As a result
of data audits any corrections over six months old may not be published
in the regular data files at Argus discretion.
