<article><p>Turkey has applied to go to international arbitration with Russia over the gas prices paid by Turkish state-run importer Botas.</p><p>The application was made yesterday, an energy ministry official said, following a months-long deadlock in talks. </p><p>The countries had reached a preliminary agreement on a 10.25pc price cut, with the reduction to be backdated to the start of this year.
