Kirsten Hund is a Sr. Mining Specialist with the Energy and Extractives Global Practice of the World Bank, where she works on mineral sector governance and sustainable development in mineral rich developing countries. Her current responsibilities include leading mining sector support projects in Armenia, Georgia, the DRC and Niger, as well as coordinating global knowledge projects on Mining and Climate Change and ‘Forest Smart Mining’. Having worked on the social and environmental impacts of oil and mineral extraction for over a decade, she joined the World Bank in August 2012.
