National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA)
The National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) is the only trade association that exclusively represents the interests of U.S. asphalt pavement producers/contractors on the national level with Congress, government agencies, and other national trade and business organizations. NAPA supports an active research program designed to improve the quality of asphalt pavements and paving techniques used in the construction of roads, parking lots, airports, and recreational facilities. The association provides its members technical expertise, education and training, and marketing materials. Founded in 1955, the association counts more than 1,200 companies as members.
South African Bitumen Association
The Southern African Bitumen Association, established in 1979, is a non-profit organisation that represents producers and applicators of bituminous products, consulting engineers, education institutions and companies that provide ancillary services. Sabita places emphasis on engaging with stakeholders, particularly government, about the need to maintain and improve roads infrastructure and create sustainable jobs. It interacts with all levels of government on these matters and through its member led programmes, strives to maintain the Industry’s technical standards and know-how, at the best levels the world has to offer. In addition, it strongly advocates sustainable practices in the quest to maintain the country’s most valuable infrastructure asset – roads - the backbone of service delivery.
