Trevor Sikorski is the Head of Natural Gas and Carbon Research at Energy Aspects. Trevor has been analysing European energy and environmental markets for more than 15 years, having held senior analytical research roles with Barclays Capital, Point Carbon, Global Insight and PwC. He has an in-depth understanding of the global markets for generation fuels and carbon, including their fundamentals, trading behaviours, and complex interactions. In 2010, he was named the top carbon market analyst by Environmental Finance magazine and was in Commodity Magazine’s commodities research team of the year in 2011. Trevor is frequently featured in leading media outlets, including the Financial Times, BBC News, Reuters, Bloomberg, CNBC, Wall Street Journal, and Sky News.

Her role focuses on energy efficiency, procurement, follow-up on legal and regulatory issues and monitoring the electricity and natural gas markets. She is active in Portuguese business associations regarding energy and climate issues, represents industrial consumers on the Portuguese Regulator Natural Gas Tariff Counsel and integrates the CEFIC’s (European Chemical Industry Council’s) Energy and Climate Change Program Counsel.

He is regularly involved in projects to support policy implementation by state and federal agencies in Germany, covering topics such as the coal phase-out, power market design and EU emissions trading system (ETS) reform. He recently co-authored a study on carbon pricing in reform options commissioned by the German Council of Economic Experts on behalf of the federal government, in which he was lead author of the EU ETS chapter.

He has also served as Argus' senior analyst and vice president for generating fuels and now works as its vice president for commodities markets.
