David Brooks is Senior Vice-President, Business Development for Argus’ global metals coverage. David joined Argus in April 2017 with 20 years’ experience in the metals publishing sector. David started his career as a metals reporter for industry publication Metal Bulletin in London in 1997, moving to the US a year later as North American Editor. After a spell working in the metals industry, he returned to editing before spending eight years as Publisher of American Metal Market with responsibility for all commercial and editorial operations. David is based in Pittsburgh and oversees a global metals team with hubs in Houston, London, Singapore, Beijing and Shanghai.

Neil Fleming is Senior Vice President, Editorial, at Argus and manages our market- and news-reporting operations worldwide. His role involves the management of a global team of more than 400 reporters in 23 offices, formulation of editorial and market-reporting strategy and policy, and working in matrix with Argus’ sectoral and regional managers to help develop new content and products for the business. Neil joined Argus in January 2020. He has 35 years’ experience of commodities and energy markets, and has worked as a journalist, analyst, manager, consultant, and data architect. He is the former SVP Editorial and Information of Argus’ competitor S&P Platts, and has also served as Head of Content and latterly Strategic Advisor at energy and petrochemicals price-reporting agency ICIS. He is the 1995 winner of the International Association of Energy Economists’ award for Excellence in Written Journalism. Neil was previously Southern Africa bureau chief for US news agency United Press International at the time of the end of apartheid, and before that its East Africa correspondent. He holds a first class honours degree in Modern & Medieval Languages from Trinity College Cambridge, and was a post-graduate student at the University of Vienna.

Stephen Jones is Senior Vice President of Oil Markets Strategy at Argus and is based in Houston. Stephen leads engagements with industry stakeholders on strategic matters related to market fundamentals, regulatory developments, and price factors across the petroleum sectors. Stephen joined Argus in 2017 as the manager of the Americas Oil Markets Business Development team and became the Global Head of Oil Products in 2018. Prior to Argus, Stephen was with  Purvin & Gertz and IHS Markit for 17 years where he was Vice President of the Refining & Marketing team. Stephen began his career in the energy business with Exxon holding positions in their Refining Headquarters and Supply & Trading teams in Houston. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Tulane University.

With over 25 years’ experience in the commodities industry as a trader, researcher, consultant and company executive, Mark has a wealth of experience in the metals sector. After gaining a BA (Hons) Degree in European Business Administration, as well as a Diplôme d’Études Supérieures Européennes de Management, Mark spent three years as a sugar trader with Louis Dreyfus, a leading global soft commodities company. The next 20 years were spent at Roskill Information Services, a leader in international metals and minerals research. In January 2001, Mark was appointed a director at Roskill and in December 2010 became the Managing Director of the company. Prior to joining Argus, he ran his own metals consulting company, Tungsten Market Research.

Jessica Dell has been with Argus Media since 2011. She is the editorial manager for environmental markets, based in San Francisco. She has responsibility for Argus’ North American coverage of environmental commodities, including emissions markets and biofuels, with specific expertise on California environmental regulation. She has also edited Argus’ European Emissions Market report and Biomass Markets report at the company’s London headquarters. Jessica holds a master’s degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science and an undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley.

Matt Drinkwater is a senior editor at Argus Media, responsible for LNG and European gas coverage. He more than 15 years’ experience covering energy markets. Before Argus, he worked for New Energy Finance and for Noozz.com

Dr Neil D’Souza is a principal consultant based in our Singapore office. He heads Argus’ energy transition practice in Asia Pacific and the Middle East, having lead policy studies on the hydrogen economy, low carbon vehicles and renewables. He is also responsible for Argus’ generation fuels practice where he has provided clients in the private sector with feasibility studies and fuel procurement risk assessments and policymakers with regulatory advisories. Prior to joining Argus, Neil worked as an energy economist for an energy policy institute in Singapore and has led several consulting projects for multilateral agencies, such as Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC). He has also worked as a power plant engineer at a multifuel fired facility. Neil D’Souza holds a doctoral degree in energy economics, a masters in energy economics and policy and an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering.

Stan has over twenty-five years of experience in the energy industry and is currently the VP of Business Development for Natural Gas & LNG for Argus. He has held executive and managerial positions with energy companies participating in natural gas pipeline operations, exploration and production, natural gas storage development, and commodity trading. Stan spent two years with PJM as their natural gas supply risk advisor developing PJM’s post Polar Vortex management strategy and guidelines. Stan holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Michigan Technological University, an M.B.A. from the University of Houston, a Series 3 Commodity Trading License, a Civil Mediator Certification, is a University of Houston Energy Management Institute Board Member and most recently earned his Postgraduate Certification in Sustainability at UCLA.

Tom is a senior manager in the consulting practice based in London. Having joined the team in 2012, he oversees the delivery of bespoke studies in the bioenergy and renewable fuel sector, including biofuels, biomass and e-fuels. Tom’s work involves assessment of the European legislative environment and the impact of proposed changes considering the trends seen in the vehicle parc, production technology and wider energy markets. While the focus remains on road transport, he also provides analysis of alternative markets, such as the aviation and marine sectors.

Yeo Yu Kin heads Argus Consulting Services in Asia and is responsible for Argus’ advisory work in the region. Yu Kin started his career in 1990 with KBC Advanced Technology, a technical consulting company for the refining industry, before moving to market consulting with Purvin & Gertz in 2003. During his stay with Purvin & Gertz he was responsible for numerous studies in the oil and gas sectors and other energy related businesses, including mergers and acquisitions, strategic analysis, technical assessments, asset valuations, crude valuations and market assessments. Yu Kin joined Argus in 2014. He trained as a chemical engineer at the National University of Singapore and is recognised as a chartered engineer by the Institution of Chemical Engineers.
