<article><p class="lead">Saudi Arabian private-sector firm National Petrochemical Industrial (Natpet) is expected to export polypropylene (PP) from February, according to market participants. </p><p>Natpet was unavailable to confirm the status of its operations.</p><p>The producer is ramping up its 400,000 t/yr PP plant in the industrial city of Yanbu. It has restarted after more than a year after a <a href="https://direct.argusmedia.com/newsandanalysis/article/1765557">fatal explosion</a> in October 2018.</p><p>The PP plant is fed by a 420,000 t/yr propane dehydrogenation unit.</p><p>Natpet is a major PP fibre supplier in the Mideast Gulf and Turkey.</p><p><i>By Muhamad Fadhil</i></p></article>
