<article><p class="lead">Mexico's energy ministry Rocio Nahle tested positive for Covid-19 but is asymptomatic and continues to work from home in isolation, she said today. </p><p>Nahle appeared in a video update of work on the 340,000 b/d Dos Bocas refinery project on 4 August, but did not appear in an 11 August video.</p><p>She said previously on 7 August she had been close to a person who tested positive, but that her test results were negative.</p><p>Mexico's state-owned Pemex has confirmed 6,254 cases of Covid-19 among its current and retired workers and their immediate family members as of yesterday, but it has stopped breaking out the tally for only its active workers. Of its active workers diagnosed with the virus, 279 have died of Covid-19.</p><p>Mexico's coronavirus tally continues to rise and the country has 498,380 confirmed cases and 54,666 deaths — the third highest in the world after the US and Brazil, according to the Johns Hopkins coronavirus resource center.</p><p>Despite the increase in cases, cinemas and museums opened this week, as well as other recreational activities which have increased fuel demand in the country.</p><p class="bylines"><i>By Sergio Meana</i></p></article>
