In his 17 years with the company Daniel has held several positions at Leoni Kabel in Germany and Leoni Cable in the US. He currently oversees all sales and engineering activities for Leoni’s automotive, medical and appliance cable division. He is a member of the ISO WG4 US Advisory Group, the SAE Cable Committee, the UL Standards Technical Panels 758 & 2263, and the International Cable and Connectivity Symposium. Daniel has a diploma in electrical engineering from the State University in Stuttgart, a BSc in electrical engineering from the Open University, London, and an MBA from Wayne State University, Michigan. Bill Reichert is the President of engineered cable company Champlain Cable in Colchester, Vermont. He has been in manufacturing industries for 37 years, most of these in wire and cable in various operations, engineering, sales and marketing, management and leadership assignments. Bill has spent the past 17 years at Champlain Cable, where he leads the company’s long-term strategy, market leadership and profitable growth. Bob was appointed Global Market Development Vice-President at Corning Optical Communications in 2013. He is responsible for carrier networks market and business development, including the strategy and execution of Corning’s Fiber to the Home, Inside Plant and Emerging Applications initiatives. With more than 20 years of experience in optical fiber network architecture, product development and carrier engagement, Bob has developed commercial and technical expertise in all aspects of optical communications. Kristen is a Member with Sandler, Travis and Rosenberg. She is based at the office in Washington, DC and leads the firm’s trade remedies practice. She has represented clients in trade remedies cases for more than 20 years, in the US and abroad, across a variety of industries including aluminum and automotive. Her experience includes a number of no-injury determinations before the International Trade Commission and obtaining 0pc anti-dumping rates on behalf of clients before the US Department of Commerce. Phil is a Managing Director in Deloitte’s Telecommunications, Media and Technology practice and has over 30 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, as a consultant and at a senior level in the industry. He has a deep understanding of telecommunications from a business and technical perspective. His areas of expertise include network engineering, financial planning, costing, marketing and strategy. He has led or participated in strategy projects focused on mergers and acquisitions, growth, market entry, cost reduction and product portfolio. Steve is an Industry Director for NEMA’s Transportation Systems Division. He manages sections within the division in such areas as intelligent transportation systems (ITS), electric vehicle supply equipment, and industrial imaging and communications. He is also the principle staff liaison for NEMA’s internet of things (IoT) and cybersecurity activities, leading and defining common approaches to standardization, guidelines, and architecture development while enabling connectivity, defining and simplifying interoperability, and safeguarding privacy and cybersecurity in electrotechnical and medical imaging products. Steve has more than 19 years of experience in programme/project management, and has a project management professional (PMP) certification. Brent represents Dow’s wire and cable market segment to the utility industry in North America. Prior to joining Dow in 2007, Brent worked for nearly 25 years for Duke Energy in Charlotte. He has experience in many components of the utility business including field engineering, distribution standards, project and product management and marketing. Marc Fitzner is President and Owner of Calmec Precision, a machinery manufacturing company specialising in armouring solutions for the wire and cable industry. After graduating as a professional engineer, Marc spent the last 33 years at Calmec, now in its 40th year of operation. Under Marc’s leadership, Calmec has seen a significant growth over the past 10 years, with an emphasis on providing solutions for customers using the latest mechanical and electrical technologies. Marc has recently used his armouring process expertise to lead the development of dual strip armouring equipment, a patented process that armours cable using two strips rather than one, providing twice the throughput of conventional machines. Mark Seddon is Senior Manager (Metals), Consulting Services, based in London. He is responsible for Argus’ rare earths and tungsten monthly outlooks and for developing metals consulting services. With over 25 years’ experience in the commodities industry as a trader, researcher, consultant and company executive, Mark has a wealth of experience in the metals sector. After gaining a BA (Hons) Degree in European Business Administration, as well as a Diplôme d’Études Supérieures Européennes de Management, Mark spent three years as a sugar trader with Louis Dreyfus, a leading global soft commodities company. The next 20 years were spent at Roskill Information Services, a leader in international metals and minerals research. In January 2001, Mark was appointed a director at Roskill and in December 2010 became the Managing Director of the company. Axel joined Southwire in 1997. His prior roles at the company include multiple technical and commercial positions in high-voltage cable systems, in Southwire’s utility products business and leadership of the company’s business in Canada. He is a leading expert on engineered cables and conductors, high-temperature superconductors and high-voltage cables and systems. A senior member of the IEEE Power and Energy Society, he is also a member of CIGRE and a contributing author of EPRI's Underground Transmission Systems Reference Book. Axel is a native of Germany and resides in Atlanta, Georgia. He holds a master’s degree in electric energy systems and power apparatus from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany. Read less
