Aparna Dutt Sharma is the secretary general of Cement Manufacturers Association, the apex body representing the cement industry in India. A brand strategist and communications expert, she is the founding member and chief executive of the India Brand Equity Foundation, a trust established by the ministry of commerce to promote the Made in India label in overseas markets. She worked with consultants Ernst and Young India as a senior advisor, where she enabled various state governments to articulate their brand management and positioning strategy with a particular focus on investment promotion campaigns, both in India and for overseas markets. Previous to this, Aparna was vice president of the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA) based in Geneva. WAIPA comprises investment promotion agencies from more than 130 countries in the world. Aparna holds a master’s degree in political science from Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi, India.

Vaibhav is an environmental engineer and policy specialist. At the Cement Manufacturers' Association (CMA), he heads up the Knowledge Centre, while he also examines and analyses the cement industry through the lens of energy and resource sustainability. An objective researcher, he is proficient in developing research frameworks, data-driven analytics and overall project management. His major interests include the principles of circular economy, industrial symbiosis and global governance. Before joining the CMA, Vaibhav worked with a think-tank – the Council on Energy, Environment and Water - for six years. His research accomplishments include: developing a critical minerals resource framework for India’s manufacturing sector; identifying strategic industries for Make in India; developing a bottom-up approach that estimates energy use, and a carbon emissions inventory of India’s manufacturing sector; and the critical analysis of international climate governance from the perspective of India’s capacity building for enhanced transparency in climate reporting. Vaibhav started his professional career with the Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation as an environmental engineer. He holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad. He completed his PG Diploma in Environmental Law from National Law School of India University, Bangalore. Vaibhav is a life member of the Mining Engineers' Association of India. In 2017, he was made a fellow for the Asian Forum on Global Governance, an annual workshop jointly organised by the Observer Research Foundation, India, and the ZEIT-Stiftung Ebelin und Gerd Bucerius, Germany.

With 18 years of experience in the aluminium smelter field, Ms Najeeba Al Jabri joined Dubal as Project Engineer in 2001. She was involved in the start up of 79B Expansion Project in 2006, with annual production of 450,000 tones. In 2007 she was awarded by the International Aluminum Institute for Best Environment Friendly Producer award. In 2008 she was awarded on leading the restoration of the production lines after long power outage. In 2013, she joined Emirates Aluminium (EMAL), and was appointed to lead the energization (start-up) of the longest aluminium line in the world, EMAL’s Potline 3. Energizing Potline 3 involved 400 employees working around the clock for seven & half months. Despite the intense pace and the volume of activity required, the energization of the entire pot-line was achieved with zero lost time injury and the project was delivered to Operations ahead of scheduled time. She currently serves as Vice President – Technical, Midstream with Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA).

Neeraj is Heading the Raw Material / Commodities Sourcing & Procurement portfolio of Aluminium Business of Vedanta, precisely managing the Non-Coal Commodities such as Calcined Petcoke, CT Pitch, Aluminium Fluoride (AlF3) & other minor Commodities for the Smelters. A Chemical Engineer by qualification, Neeraj has a long experience of ~15 years into Aluminium Industry, having joined Vedanta at its BALCO Plant in 2005 as Graduate Engineer. After a brief stint at the Potline Operations, he joined the Commercial / Procurement function for the business and over the years moved through the diverse spectrum of Aluminium Supply Chain right from Engg. Spares, Consumables, Capex’s, Relining Material, Inventory Management etc. to the present role into Commodity Sourcing wherein he is playing a key role in driving the business towards a long term strategic position in the lowest-cost quartile in the industry. During his previous roles in the function, he has also led several Transformational Projects into Procurement e.g. Catalogue Buying/E-Procurement, Supply Chain Automation, strategic Reverse Auction, Green Supply Chain management etc. Currently he operates from Vedanta Ltd., Jharsuguda, Odisha (INDIA), the group’s flagship Aluminium Smelter.
