Danan Dou received his doctoral degree of chemistry in 1992. He worked on emission control technologies for 11 years at Allied Signal Environmental Catalysts which later became a part of Delphi. In 2006, Danan joined John Deere Power Systems as the manager of aftertreatment technologies to develop product solutions for meeting Interim Tier IV and Final Tier IV emission standards. From 2011 to 2020, he served as the manager of Advanced Power Systems Engineering, leading development of engine and emission control technologies. Danan was been elected to be a SAE fellow in 2016 and a John Deere fellow in 2017. Since October 2020, Danan had a new assignment of leading powertrain technology development, innovation and technology roadmap to reduce green-house gas and criteria emissions as the manager of Advanced Technology and Innovation at John Deere Power Systems.

He has been with CARB for 14 years working on various emissions and toxicity projects relating heavy duty diesel and alternative fuel exhaust. He has also participated in developing test procedures and vehicle and engine testing facilities. His educational background includes a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from Yale University and a B.S. in chemistry from Andrews University.

Coralie Cooper is Deputy Director of NESCAUM and as Deputy works with program staff to assist NESCAUM member states in developing strategies to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) and criteria emissions from transportation and stationary sources. As Deputy, Coralie also contributes to managing the organization and improving operations. From 2001 to 2011, Coralie was Transportation Program Manager at NESCAUM where she led NESCAUM’s work with states to reduce motor vehicle and nonroad criteria and GHG emissions. In addition to her roles at NESCAUM, Coralie worked at the U.S. Department of Transportation on the federal Phase 2 heavy-duty GHG and fuel economy regulation in addition to other initiatives with a variety of divisions within DOT. Coralie has a Masters in City Planning with a focus on environmental policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.A. from Boston University.

Dr. David Montgomery has a combined role of engineering manager and technical steward in Caterpillar’s Energy & Transportation Technology group (formerly known as Engine Research). He leads a team focused on research and development of natural gas and alternative fueled power systems. Dave is also an adjunct professor of mechanical engineering at Colorado State University; teaching and managing joint Caterpillar/CSU research projects. Dave’s most recent previous corporate position was serving as Caterpillar’s primary Dual-Fuel Subject Matter Expert, consulting on combustion system R&D programs for natural gas powered off-highway equipment including mining, marine, and locomotive products. Previously Dave led research efforts on innovative SI gas engine technologies while managing the joint Caterpillar/US Department of Energy Advanced natural gas Reciprocating Engine Systems (ARES) program. Dave joined Caterpillar in May of 2006 after spending 6 years in R&D at Johnson/Evinrude/Ski-doo investigating efficiency improvement and emissions reduction in high power density 2-stroke engines. He earned his Masters and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison while conducting research in a Caterpillar sponsored diesel engine laboratory.

Tim is Senior Vice President for the fertilizer sector at Argus. Tim worked a process manager at an ammonia/urea plant in South Africa before moving to the UK to join KBR (then M.W. Kellogg) as a process engineer in the ammonia technology team. More recently Tim has covered fertilizer and industrial nitrogen as a market analyst.

Geoff Bohlender is the Strategic Sourcing Manager for RelaDyne with a focus on DEF. In 2021 RelaDyne acquired PPC Lubricants where Geoff had been guiding the PPC Lubricant’s DEF strategy for the past 10 years and has been focused on developing programs to meet the needs of the customer and the market by developing customized solutions to enhance services and deliver value. Geoff will now be taking that knowledge and passion to help manage RelaDyne’s national DEF sourcing and sales efforts. Prior to joining RelaDyne in 2021 and PPC Lubricants in 2008, Geoff spent 13 years with BP/Castrol in various roles in both Marketing and Sales, but always focused on business with and through the Distribution channel. Geoff holds a BA from Johns Hopkins University with focus in Sociology and Economics. While at Johns Hopkins Geoff also played lacrosse and still actively coaches at a youth level today.
