Michael D. Cohen Head of Energy Markets Research at Barclays Capital
Michael Cohen, Head of Energy Commodities, Barclays

Michael Cohen is a Director and Head of Energy Markets Research at Barclays and is responsible for the firm’s oil and natural gas market forecasts. Based in New York, Mr. Cohen is also responsible for the firm’s research covering upstream, midstream, and downstream developments in North American energy markets. He is the lead author of Barclays’ flagship oil market monthly publication, The Blue Drum, and he also advises top management of Barclays’ broad reaching client base on global energy market developments. He is also a consultant to the National Intelligence Council and has been invited to speak to graduate students at Stanford, Columbia, and Georgetown University.

Prior to joining Barclays Capital in August 2013, Mr. Cohen spent two years as a senior member of the Oil Industries and Markets Division at the International Energy Agency (IEA), where he was a principal author of the industry benchmark Oil Market Report and Medium Term Oil Market Report. Mr. Cohen also worked for seven years with the US Department of Energy as an economist with the Energy Information Administration and with the Office of Policy and International Affairs. He also has experience in gas and power markets as a trading desk analyst for American Electric Power and as a consultant on electricity market design with LECG.

Mr. Cohen received an MA in International Economics from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies in Russian and Eurasian Affairs, and a BSBA in Economics and BA in Political Science from The Ohio State University. He is a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Cecile Nourigat
Cécile Nourigat, Autogas Manager, World LPG Association

Ms Cécile Nourigat is the World LPG Association (WLPGA) Autogas Manager since January 2016. She is responsible for the promotion of LPG as transport fuel globally through advocacy and communications activities. Prior to joining the LPG sector, she worked in a public affairs consultancy in Brussels, running political communications campaigns on a variety of issues linked to the European Union environment, transport and energy policy.

Cécile holds a post-graduate degree from the College of Europe in Bruges (Belgium) and also obtained a Master’s degree in political science in France.
Manav Lahoti
, Business Director, Dow US Olefins, Aromatics and Alternatives

Manav Lahoti, is the Commercial Director managing U.S. Olefins. In this role, Manav leads the long-term U.S. supply strategies for ethylene and propylene, oversees the U.S. ethylene and propylene derivative envelopes and drives commercial activities related to Dow’s investments in the U.S. Gulf Coast.

Manav joined Dow in 1998 as an engineer involved in the startup and commissioning of a new polyethylene plant in Prentiss, Canada. In 2006, Manav transitioned into Hydrocarbons as the ethylene planner for Canada. He then assumed the role of North America ethylene planner and relocated to Houston, Texas. He became the global supply chain leader for Feedstocks & Energy in 2007 and transitioned into naphtha commercial manager responsibilities in 2010. In 2012, Manav assumed the senior commercial manager II role for U.S. Olefins and moved to an Associate Commercial Director for U.S. Aromatics role in 2013.

Manav earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Mumbai University (UDCT) and a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta. In addition, he has earned an executive MBA through the Dow-DeVos program at Northwood University.
Luis Landeros

Luis Landeros serves as the president of the board for the LPGas Distributors Association (ADG) in Mexico. He has more than 25 years of experience with retail and consumer distribution companies, serving in project leadership, sales management, sales development, consulting and marketing management, and chief executive positions. The ADG serves to promote and advocate common interest of the four biggest LPG distribution groups of Mexico, concentrating 250 companies with 45 percent of the total market share, nationwide. The ADG actively participated in the elaboration of the Secondary Laws for the Mexican Energy Reform with the Secretariat of Energy, including its Hydrocarbon Regulation, Administrative Rulings and Official LPGas Standards. 
David Schultz
David Schultz,
Gas and Power, New World Fuel

Mr. Schultz’s nearly 40 years of experience in energy has included senior positions in power generation, natural gas pipeline and storage, and LNG segments of the industry. In power generation, he has lead the development of power projects totaling more than $5 billion. In the natural gas industry, he has played a key role in the development, permitting and construction of $2 billion worth of pipeline and gas storage projects. He started Pivotal LNG, a leading merchant provider of LNG. Currently he is a partner in New World Fuel which is a leading importer of LNG, propane and refined products to Mexico.

Mr. Schultz holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from San Diego State University. He has served on various non-profit boards including Texas Energy Museum in Beaumont, Texas.

Prior to Sunoco, Jay was Head of Crude Oil Logistics at EDF Trading in North America. Jay has held a variety of Senior level assignments at TransMontaigne, Texon LP, TransCanada and EOTT. Jay has a successful history of leading start-ups, developing innovative logistical solutions and creating tremendous enterprise value over a short period of time. A graduate of Louisiana State University, Jay has more than 25 years experience in energy logistics and is an expert on crude oil blending and strategy development.

Ross Weisser, Co-Founder of 4J Energy, LLC, was previously Senior Manager – Lease Acquisition at Sunoco Logistics. Prior to Sunoco, Ross led Business Development projects for the EDF Trading Crude Logistics team. Ross spent 5 years at GasRock Capital where he developed his background in crude oil marketing, project economic analysis, reserve based energy lending, financial and credit analysis and investment banking. A graduate of Emory University in Atlanta, GA, Ross has more than 12 years experience in the crude oil industry.

Nicolas Vukelja Duque, MBA, ‎is the Vice President of the Panama Maritime Chamber and currently CCO & Owner of Terramar Oil & Services; a family-owned barge service company with 15 years of experience in Panama.

Terramar is a barge owner and operator company providing expertise as physical bunker supplier, ship to ship (lightering) agency and other services.

Nicolas is an industrial engineer with a master’s degree in maritime administration and holds a post degree on bunkering operations as well as a cursing post degree on superior education.

Craig Whitley, President and Chief Executive Officer, World Energy Consultants, LLC

Craig Whitley is President and CEO of World Energy Consultants, LLC. After 45 years of experience working in the U.S. NGL and global LPG industries, Craig recently retired as the Global NGL Analytics leader for BP and launched World Energy Consultants to provide market analysis, feasibility studies, due diligence support, merger acquisition analysis, custom studies, expert testimony, workshops and training programs for private, public and state-owned energy companies. Prior to joining BP in 2010, Craig was a senior partner at the international energy consulting firm of Purvin & Gertz for 18 years. Craig joined Purvin & Gertz in 1993 and headed the company’s LPG consulting practices in Latin America and Southeast Asia, and is well known for his analysis of North American NGL markets.

Craig is an expert in international LPG markets, having conducted and led consulting assignments in 49 different countries during his 18-year tenure at Purvin & Gertz. He was also very instrumental at growing Purvin & Gertz market forecasting services as founder and Senior Editor of Purvin & Gertz’ North America NGL Market Outlook, Global LPG Market Outlook and Latin America LPG Market Outlook multi-client studies for many years. Immediately prior to his employment with Purvin & Gertz, Craig was President of Bonner & Moore Market Consultants, an international energy-consulting firm headquartered in Houston, TX. During his career he has served as chief executive of several energy firms in the LPG business, including BruinGas, Inc., Trio Energy Company, Trio Chemical Company and Aero Energy, Inc.

Craig’s LPG industry expertise and knowledge encompasses many areas of interest that highlight his widespread industry experience, including: market analysis and forecasting, supply acquisition and distribution, gas processing, LPG and NGL trading and marketing, technical analysis, aerosol propellant production and international LPG trade.

Craig lives in Houston, is married and has 4 children. He holds separate B.S. degrees in Chemistry and Zoology and received his MBA from Ole Miss.  
Ajey Chandra
Ajey Chandra, Vice President, Managing Director, Muse Stancil, & Co.

Mr. Ajey Chandra is a Director of the firm and the Managing Director of the Houston office of Muse, Stancil & Co. where he also leads the Midstream practice area for the firm. Mr. Chandra joined Muse in 2014 after 28 years of experience in various facets of the midstream industry, including operations, engineering, business development, management, and consulting. Mr. Chandra has had a wide variety of assignments covering all aspects of the energy industry during his career, and has had several long term expatriate assignments overseas, including Europe and Southeast Asia. Mr. Chandra’s operating, consulting and management experience includes working at Amoco, Purvin & Gertz, Hess and NextEra Energy Resources prior to joining Muse Stancil. Mr. Chandra has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University and an MBA from the University of Houston. Mr. Chandra has also attended Executive Education classes at Harvard University, and is a Professional Engineer in Texas.
Daniel Penovich

Dan Penovich is a 35 year veteran of the railcar leasing industry. He is president of Mitsui Rail Capital, LLC, a 50/50 joint venture between JA Mitsui Leasing, Ltd. and Mitsui and Co. Ltd. both located in Tokyo, Japan.

Dan’s previous work included 12 years at GATX Corporation where he led the North American Sales force and provided support for GATX’s international business development projects. Prior to GATX, he was employed by Union Tank Car for 15 years where he led commercial efforts in the Midwest region. He started his career in the rail car operating leasing business at North American Car Company.

In addition to his work experience Dan holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Logistics from Indiana University and a Masters of Business Administration from Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

Dan is an active member of the Chicago Traffic Club, New York Traffic Club, National Grain and Feed Association, North American Freight Car Association, Association of American Railroads and a number of other rail shipper organizations. He also has joined the Indiana University-Kelly School of Business Transportation Executive Board. The board’s goal is to promote careers in logistics and supply chain management to students at the Kelly School. Ultimately the board wants the University to establish a major in supply chain and logistics management.

Dan resides in the Chicago suburb of Naperville, Illinois with his wife Cindy and has two grown children, Mark and Laura.
Oeyvind Lindeman

Mr. Lindeman was appointed Chartering Manager of the Company in November 2007, before being appointed Chief Commercial officer in January 2004. Prior to this, he was employed for five years at A.P. Moller Maersk, a gas transport company as charterer. Mr. Lindeman holds a BA with honours from the University of Strathclyde and an Executive MBA with distinction from Cass Business School.
Robert Campbell

Robert heads up coverage of global oil products markets. Prior to joining Energy Aspects, Robert worked as an energy journalist for nearly 14 years for Reuters, Petroleum Argus and other publications, where he reported on oil markets and trends from Latin America, London, and New York in addition to temporary assignments worldwide. Most recently he was Oil Markets Columnist at Reuters. Robert holds an MA from McMaster University and a BA from McGill University and is based in New York.

Robert Sawchuk is a Business Director at BASF Corporation. Currently, he has business management responsibility for the BASF TOTAL Petrochemicals LLC, a joint venture company between BASF Corporation and Total Petrochemical and Refining USA, Inc., which operates in the refining and petrochemicals segments. Prior to this role, Mr. Sawchuk’s responsibilities included Business and Marketing Management for acrylic monomers and superabsorbent polymers in North and South America, located in Charlotte, NC, and Global Marketing Management for superabsorbent polymers, located in Ludwigshafen, Germany. Mr. Sawchuk earned his Bachelor of Science with a Major in Chemistry from the University of Manitoba, and his Masters of Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. Mr. Sawchuk is Member of the Greater Houston Partnership’s Energy Advisory Committee, and is a past Board Member and President of the Southwest Chemical Association. Additionally, Mr. Sawchuk is on the Board of Directors for the Houston Food Bank and Houston Marathon Foundation, and is currently the Texas State Appointee to the Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone One Board of Directors for the City of Sugar Land, TX.

Paige Morse is responsible for market intelligence and analysis for propylene and related derivatives. She has 25 years in experience in the chemical industry in the US and Europe, and joined Argus in 2016.

She is a strategic thinker with broad experience in business development and corporate planning in chemical and energy markets. Paige has worked in R&D, business development, and marketing at Shell, Dow, Sunoco and Clariant. She has worked on several M&A projects throughout her career, with a focus on acquisition targeting, market and technology assessment, and asset integration. Paige has PhD in chemistry from the University of Illinois, and a Bachelor of Arts from Kenyon College in Ohio.
