For more than two decades, she has contributed to growth and development of the agricultural industry in key roles as CEO of Arysta LifeScience, North America and president of Spectrum Brands Home and Garden and Biolab. She’s also held management positions at Monsanto and NuFarm Limited. Yoder currently serves on the board of directors for The Fertilizer Institute, Compass Minerals and Arcadia Biosciences. She also promotes agriculture by serving on the Clemson University Foundation Board and the Michigan State University Hannah Society. She has also served as past president for the Sigma Alpha Foundation (a sorority promoting women in agriculture). She graduated with a BS in Agricultural Technology Systems Management from Michigan State University.

After University, Luc began his career at the Belgian Administration for Development Cooperation. During this time he was lecturing in soil science and soil conservation and responsible for research in these fields, along with project evaluation. In 1982, he joined the United Nations as the Team Leader of the Fertilizer Advisory, Development and Information Network for Asia and the Pacific, based in Bangkok. In 1987, he joined IFA, first as its Executive Secretary responsible for Agro-Economic and Technical matters, later as its Deputy Secretary General, Secretary General and finally Director General. Luc Maene has been during many years Vice Chairman of the Board of the International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC). He is past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fertilizer Industry Round Table (FIRT). He was a member of the Board of Directors of CEDAP, the French organization of Association Leaders and is Immediate Past President of the European Society of Association Executives (ESAE). He has served on The Center for Association Leadership Board of Directors. He was awarded a Doctorate honoris causa in Agriculture by the University Putra Malaysia (UPM) in 2006. He is currently Visiting Professor in the Department of Land Management, Faculty of Agriculture of the University Putra Malaysia. He is a recent awardee of the International Fertiliser Society's prestigious Francis New medal.

Prior to that he worked for the Danish Agriculture and Food Council in Copenhagen and then as Director of their office in Brussels. Michael joined Koch Agronomic Services (KAS) as Senior Agronomist for Europe, Middle East and Africa in October 2018, where he oversees technical support and market development of controlled release and stabilised fertilizers. He previously held positions as Precision Farming Manager and Product Development manager in Yara’s international agronomy research centre in Germany. In 2011, he was appointed Head of Agronomy in Yara’s central marketing department in Oslo, Norway, having joined Yara International as a senior scientist in 1992. Prior to joining Yara, Michael had worked for three years as a junior scientist in the EU project. Michael holds a master’s degree in soil science and plant nutrition from the University of Kiel, Germany.

Dale Edgington gained his BS degree in Agricultural Economics from Michigan State University and began his career in the fertilizer industry in 1985. The first half of his career was spent in retail operations, marketing fertilizers, pesticides, seeds and related services to farmers in Michigan. Dale served as Agronomist for Crop Production Services in Michigan, ushering in the use of GPS guided technologies for soil testing and variable rate application of fertilizers. In 2003, Dale transitioned to the micronutrient fertilizer manufacturing business where he has been ever since. Responsibilities include purchasing and formulating various fertilizer products with the elements nitrogen, phosphorous, potassium, calcium, magnesium, manganese, copper, boron, iron and zinc. The business was owned by Agrium, U.S. Inc. until April of 2015 when it was sold to another long standing micronutrient manufacturer, Cameron Chemicals from the state of Virginia.

Kurt Verhelst is acting now as Strategic Account Manager for Prayon, supporting globally Prayon’s water soluble fertilizer sales. In close cooperation with the R&D team of Prayon, new products have been developed in Prayon by focussing on the in-house knowledge of phosphates. Kurt Verhelst played a key role in the development of the new water-soluble fertilizers and is co-inventor of the micronutri Fe, the new iron fertilizer based on polyphosphates. After studying a Msc. in Biosciences, Specialization Horticulture at Thomas More (Association of KU Leuven) in Belgium, he took position in AVEVE as Technical Commercial manager to support the sales of water soluble fertilisers, used in Horticulture. Till 2007, he worked at Kemira as sales manager in Benelux, France and UK. But when Kemira stopped the WSF Business, he joined Prayon in 2007 as Business Development Manager. Later he combined it with the function of Senior Product Manager and Area Sales Manager.

His research focuses on the economics of agricultural technology, especially precision agriculture. He has been published 85 times in referred journals, and has written two books and chapters in eight other books. His research and outreach is founded on hands-on experience in agriculture - he farmed in the US state of Iowa in the 1970s, producing maize, lamb, wool and alfalfa. Back in Europe, he has been then appointed Project Coordinator in the Molecular Glycobiotechnology Group of the Dept. of Biochemistry at National University of Ireland Galway. In parallel, he participated to the creation and the setup of OGT, an Irish company developing novel seaweed extracts. In June 2008, Franck joined OGT full time as Technical Director. OGT was acquired by the Spanish company Tradecorp International in June 2014 where he became global seaweed project manager for the whole group. Early 2016, Franck and his colleagues turned over a spin-off company into ALGAIA, a company producing seaweed extracts and specialised in providing consultancy, analyses and bioactivity tests for the valorisation of algae in many sectors of activities.
