Stefan has been working for Shell more than 20 years in various business units in Exploration and Downstream (Lubricants – base oils, bitumen, sulphur, refining, trading and supply and retail). Stefan is based in Hamburg, Germany. He enjoys spending his free time with his wife and three children, dog and horse. He was a field hockey Olympic champion in Barcelona in 1992 and is well-connected to the field and indoor hockey scene world-wide.

Prior to joining MECA, Dr. Brezny was the Global Marketing and Technology Manager for automotive materials at W.R. Grace. In this position he had world-wide responsibility for automotive catalyst product development and marketing. Prior to his commercial role, Dr. Brezny spent 11 years at Grace’s Washington Research Center developing automotive catalyst substrates and mixed oxide support materials. He acted as the head of the Center of Excellence in powertrain R&D at Mahindra Research Valley, guiding the design and development of diesel engines complying with Indian and global emissions norms. Dr Ghodke has more than 30 years of expertise in automobile engine design and development and after-treatment solutions. He has also published more than 50 research papers in national and international conferences such as SAE, SIAT, ASME and FISITA. He holds a PhD in internal combustion engines from Visveswaraya National Institute of Technology in Nagpur, India.

Alessandro started his career at Eni, which he joined in 1986, gaining extensive international experience in the Refining and Marketing (R&M) sector of the oil industry. He worked as a refinery technologist in Italy (Livorno) and in Germany (Ingolstadt), then as Project and Investment Planner in Eni’s Rome headquarters. He then held the position of Operating and Planning Director for Czech Refining (Czech Republic). In 2000 he relocated to the US, as chief executive of American Agip, an affiliate of Eni engaged in oil products trading and the marketing of lubricants. He then covered the position of chief executive for Agip Deutschland, the German commercial affiliate of Eni R&M, active in retail (petrol stations), wholesale and refining (as a shareholder in the joint-venture refineries of Schwedt and Vohburg/Neustadt). Alessandro then returned to Eni in Italy, first as Retail Business Development and M&A Head for Europe, and then as Chief Technical Executive in the Livorno Refinery. Alessandro has a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Pisa.

After Chevron, Vince traded fuels and alternative fuels with related hedging tools, and consulted for early entrants into the DEF market as President of Independence Energy Group. In 2012 he joined a midstream oil and gas company managing every aspect including crude purchasing and marketing, disposal wells, oil field services and terminal operations. In 2015, Vince joined DASCO as Manager of DEF, a division that was acquired by Old World Industries in 2019. He is currently involved in many key aspects of Old World Industries DEF business, including supply diversification.
