Francis Osborne is Head of Forecasting in the Argus Consulting group, where his remit is to develop and co-ordinate the forecasting processes across a range of different commodities. Francis has over 30 years of experience of analysing and consulting on global oil and gas markets, and has worked for a number of leading consultancies. Prior to joining Argus, Francis was Head of Analytics at ICIS. He has also held positions with Saudi Petroleum Overseas, refining consultancy KBC Advanced Technologies and research firm Wood Mackenzie.

Prior to joining Argus, Josefine spent nine years with Shell Downstream in the strategy, marketing and sales departments. She has master’s degrees in economics and political science from Lund University, Sweden, and is now Vice-President for Argus Business Development in Europe. Josefine has deep expertise in the fuels markets and is responsible for Argus pricing solutions for European refined products. She has particular focus on the biofuels markets and with her 10 years at Argus been instrumental for Argus benchmark position in the renewable fuels markets.

Neil Fleming is Senior Vice President, Editorial, at Argus and manages our market- and news-reporting operations worldwide. His role involves the management of a global team of more than 400 reporters in 23 offices, formulation of editorial and market-reporting strategy and policy, and working in matrix with Argus’ sectoral and regional managers to help develop new content and products for the business. Neil joined Argus in January 2020. He has 35 years’ experience of commodities and energy markets, and has worked as a journalist, analyst, manager, consultant, and data architect. He is the former SVP Editorial and Information of Argus’ competitor S&P Platts, and has also served as Head of Content and latterly Strategic Advisor at energy and petrochemicals price-reporting agency ICIS. He is the 1995 winner of the International Association of Energy Economists’ award for Excellence in Written Journalism. Neil was previously Southern Africa bureau chief for US news agency United Press International at the time of the end of apartheid, and before that its East Africa correspondent. He holds a first class honours degree in Modern & Medieval Languages from Trinity College Cambridge, and was a post-graduate student at the University of Vienna.

Yeo Yu Kin heads Argus Consulting Services in Asia and is responsible for Argus’ advisory work in the region. Yu Kin started his career in 1990 with KBC Advanced Technology, a technical consulting company for the refining industry, before moving to market consulting with Purvin & Gertz in 2003. During his stay with Purvin & Gertz he was responsible for numerous studies in the oil and gas sectors and other energy related businesses, including mergers and acquisitions, strategic analysis, technical assessments, asset valuations, crude valuations and market assessments. Yu Kin joined Argus in 2014. He trained as a chemical engineer at the National University of Singapore and is recognised as a chartered engineer by the Institution of Chemical Engineers.

Freddie started as a price reporter covering commodities from power to gas to coal before moving into the sharper end of the business with Noble Group, becoming their senior market analyst for thermal and coking coal. From there he moved to EDF where he worked as a fuel originator, responsible for sourcing 10mn t/yr of coal and 250,000 t/yr of biomass for UK power plants. Freddie joined Argus in January 2014, focusing on growing the company’s coal, biomass and petroleum coke indexation and coverage.

Dr Neil D’Souza is a principal consultant based in our Singapore office. He heads Argus’ energy transition practice in Asia Pacific and the Middle East, having lead policy studies on the hydrogen economy, low carbon vehicles and renewables. He is also responsible for Argus’ generation fuels practice where he has provided clients in the private sector with feasibility studies and fuel procurement risk assessments and policymakers with regulatory advisories. Prior to joining Argus, Neil worked as an energy economist for an energy policy institute in Singapore and has led several consulting projects for multilateral agencies, such as Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC). He has also worked as a power plant engineer at a multifuel fired facility. Neil D’Souza holds a doctoral degree in energy economics, a masters in energy economics and policy and an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering.

Tom is a senior manager in the consulting practice based in London. Having joined the team in 2012, he oversees the delivery of bespoke studies in the bioenergy and renewable fuel sector, including biofuels, biomass and e-fuels. Tom’s work involves assessment of the European legislative environment and the impact of proposed changes considering the trends seen in the vehicle parc, production technology and wider energy markets. While the focus remains on road transport, he also provides analysis of alternative markets, such as the aviation and marine sectors.

Hasan oversees and leads the fertilizer consulting services for the Americas region, with a focus on single-client studies and product valuations. Before joining Argus, Hasan worked for Canpotex, BHP and Accenture where he led supply modeling to develop a global view of potash supply, developed views on competitors’ strategies, modeled price impact of various market entry approaches, and developed acquisition option sets, term sheets for commercial negotiations, and desktop valuations.

Joe has over 25 years in the industry and joined Argus in 2009 following a long experience within the European olefins market. He has worked for ICI, Huntsman and SABIC where he was responsible for the Business Management of SABIC’s Olefins business in Europe. In his time at Argus, Joe worked on a number of consultancy projects covering the structure of the European Olefins markets, investment opportunities in the Middle East and the potential for ethane imports to Europe. Joe is also responsible for the provision of regular client services for Ethylene and Polymers along with the monthly Olefins outlook forecast.

Tzyy leads bespoke chemicals consulting for Europe and Africa at Argus, and is responsible for consulting projects including market studies, feasibility studies and transaction support engagements across all petrochemical value chains. He specialises in providing commercial and market due diligence and analysis in the petrochemicals sector, supporting clients in evaluating investments, market entry strategy and other market-related issues. He is experienced across a wide range of commodity and specialty petrochemicals, including the olefins, aromatics, methanol and chlor-alkali value chains and their downstream derivatives.
