He is a graduate in Economics from the University of Padua in Italy and holds an MBA from McGill University, Canada.

He is the former SVP Editorial and Information of Argus’ competitor S&P Platts, and has also served as Head of Content and latterly Strategic Advisor at energy and petrochemicals price-reporting agency ICIS. He is the 1995 winner of the International Association of Energy Economists’ award for Excellence in Written Journalism. Neil was previously Southern Africa bureau chief for US news agency United Press International at the time of the end of apartheid, and before that its East Africa correspondent. He holds a first class honours degree in Modern & Medieval Languages from Trinity College Cambridge, and was a post-graduate student at the University of Vienna.

In a career spanning 24 years in various consulting roles in Singapore, Greece and the US, Yu Kin has covered oil, gas, coal and petrochemical markets. During his time at KBC Advanced Technology, he successfully built up a strategic consulting practice in Asia from scratch.
Yu Kin trained as a chemical engineer at the National University of Singapore. He is recognised as a chartered engineer by the Institute of Chemical Engineers.

Prior to joining Argus in June 2019, he worked as Oil Products Trader during 9 years at Optima Energy in Geneva and GP Global in London covering Europe, North and West Africa. Alfonso started his career in the oil industry back in 2001 running cargo operations and import logistics for the Spanish utility Endesa (currently Enel) for 5 years, and Chevron UK for 3 years. Alfonso is an Industrial Engineer graduated in the Universidad del Pais Vasco (UPV), Spain.

Jessica Dell has been with Argus Media since 2011. She is the editorial manager for environmental markets, based in San Francisco. She has responsibility for Argus’ North American coverage of environmental commodities, including emissions markets and biofuels, with specific expertise on California environmental regulation. She has also edited Argus’ European Emissions Market report and Biomass Markets report at the company’s London headquarters. Jessica holds a master’s degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science and an undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley.

Having joined the team in 2012, he oversees the delivery of bespoke studies in the bioenergy and renewable fuel sector, including biofuels, biomass and e-fuels. Tom’s work involves assessment of the European legislative environment and the impact of proposed changes considering the trends seen in the vehicle parc, production technology and wider energy markets. While the focus remains on road transport, he also provides analysis of alternative markets, such as the aviation and marine sectors.
