Trevor Sikorski is the Head of Natural Gas and Carbon Research at Energy Aspects. Trevor has been analysing European energy and environmental markets for more than 15 years, having held senior analytical research roles with Barclays Capital, Point Carbon, Global Insight and PwC. He has an in-depth understanding of the global markets for generation fuels and carbon, including their fundamentals, trading behaviours, and complex interactions. In 2010, he was named the top carbon market analyst by Environmental Finance magazine and was in Commodity Magazine’s commodities research team of the year in 2011. In the UK Jim was also on the board of BCSD-UK and the Emissions Trading Group (ETG), and chairman of working groups for the Minerals Products Association and the ETG. In 2012, he was hired by Mercuria UK as a senior cross-commodity trader and managing partner, where he ran a cross-commodity trading business and was responsible for risk managing the second largest carbon offset portfolio in the world. In 2015, he joined Hartree to found its environmental markets business with responsibility for global sales and trading. Ariel has spoken at conferences in Europe, Asia and the US and is one of the most experienced emissions traders in the market. He holds a BSc in applied economics and management from Cornell University.
