EPCI organises the Passive Components Networking Symposium as a biannual international event dedicated to passive components. Tomas is the author of more than 60 technical papers, a US/international patent, and scientific articles about tantalum/niobium capacitors. Tomas joined AVX Czech Republic as a quality engineer in 1993, becoming head of failure analysis on tantalum capacitors in 1994. Tomas worked for AVX Corporation as Worldwide Technical Marketing Manager on tantalum capacitors from 1999 to 2014. His expertise in capacitors was used especially for technical communication with high reliability industry, particularly in space application and co-operation with the European Space Agency. Tomas received a PhD in electro-technology – tantalum capacitors – from the Technical University of Brno in the Czech Republic in 2000. Previously he was Head of Nickel Sales for the leading mining company Anglo American where he was responsible for marketing ferronickel and nickel cathodes and served on the LME Nickel Committee. Sebastian started his career with The Boston Consulting Group, where he led transformational commercial projects in the mining industry across the globe for over 7 years. He holds a Master degree in business and economics and a PhD from WHU, Otto Beisheim Graduate School of Management. Sebastian is married and has a son and a daughter.
