Graduated in mechanical engineering from Escola de Engenharia Mauá, Sao Paulo, with an MBA in Management from COPPEAD-UFRJ, Victor has a vast experience in the oil and gas segment. In over 30 years at Subsea 7, he was responsible for several projects, focusing on deepwater technologies. For 17 years he has been the company leader for South America, responding directly to the executive team and board of Subsea7 in Europe. Since 2017 he has been CEO of Vast Infraestrutura, a Prumo Group company dedicated to providing infrastructure and logistics solutions for liquids for the energy market. Da Bouza holds a MSc in economics from the University of Aberdeen and a BSc in economics from the University of Buenos Aires. Da Bouza has an extensive career in energy markets in both the private and public sectors and experience dealing with several energy commodities. Since 2020 he is responsible for PAE’s crude trading in the Argentinean domestic market and international markets, where he trades PAE flagship grades Escalante, Medanito and Hidra. Скрыть

Rogerio co-heads the firm’s oil and gas, and maritime law practices. He received his law degree from Rio de Janeiro State University in 2003 and post-graduated from FGV-Rio in 2011, specialising in corporate law and capital markets. He also completed specialisation courses in oil and gas contracts (Brazilian Petroleum and Gas Institute, Rio de Janeiro) in 2008 and International Oil and Gas Law, Contracts and Negotiations (RMMLF, Houston) in 2018. Rogerio is an active speaker in conferences, who has been focusing his legal practice in oil and gas, offshore services and maritime law for more than 15 years, assisting his clients in contract negotiations and regulatory matters involving government bodies such as the National Petroleum Agency, National Waterway Transportation Agency and the Brazilian Navy. Daniel joined Galp in 2004, actively contributing to the development of the upstream business unit, where production, reserves and resources have grown markedly (particularly in Angola, Brazil and Mozambique partnerships). His focus is on a growing organisational culture with an emphasis on safety, performance, innovation and sustainability. Earlier in his career, Daniel had roles in Schlumberger and Transocean across several countries including Nigeria, UK, France and Brazil. He holds an MBA from INSEAD business school in France/Singapore. He is a graduate from Lisbon IST in Portugal, and Glasgow University with a BEng in mechanical engineering, with post-graduate studies in energy at Harvard Business School (EUA) and COPPE/UFRJ (Brazil). Filgueiras holds a degree in economics from the University of Brasília (UnB) and an MsC in energy planning from Coppead (UFRJ) in Rio de Janeiro. She worked at the Economic Policy Secretariat (SPE) of the Ministry of Economy, at the Institute of Applied Economic Research (Ipea), and as a consultant for large companies in the retail, energy, and communication sectors. Also managed the economic analysis team of the Brazilian Oil and Gas Institute (IBP). Juan Carlos has more than 18 years of professional experience, with 12 years of commercial experience in the Americas and European energy value chains, with a strong focus in trading and commercial development in the upstream and downstream sectors including refining, logistics and supply. In 2005, he started his international career as a project engineer in the water treatment sector, working at Veolia Water in the US for six years. After finishing his MBA at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, he joined BP in 2012 and spent six years working in Chicago and London in the commercial space. After more than 14 years abroad, he decided to return to his native Colombia and joined Ecopetrol in 2018 as the global head of crude and carbon trading, leading the commercial strategy of Ecopetrol´s crude oil portfolio and commercial decarbonisation. Viviana Coelho is currently climate change and decarbonization executive manager at Petrobras, director at the Board of Transpetro and member of the Executive Committee of the Oil and Gas Climate Initiative. She is a chemical engineer and also biologist with a master's degree in environmental technology from Imperial College, as well as an MBA in advanced administration, a postgraduate degree in innovation and extensive executive training in institutions such as Insead, IMD, Cambridge University, London Business School and Columbia University. In Petrobras, she has held various functions in Petrobras’ downstream and R&D, including general manager for Innovation in Gas, Energy and Sustainable Development. James is responsible for raising commodity price reporting agency Argus’ profile in Europe and Africa, with a particular focus on the crude oil, refined products and LPG sectors. He works closely with companies and governments to help them find ways to price commodities transparently and fairly. James has been with Argus since 2004 in several editorial and business development roles, including editing European electricity and emissions market publications. In 2007-10, he was the editor of the daily Argus Crude report, managing a global team of reporters and developing new crude price assessments. Prior to joining Argus, James worked as a teacher and as a journalist. Sean leads analysis and modelling of international crude oil supply, crude oil prices and Latin American petroleum markets for the EIA’s monthly Short-Term Energy Outlook forecast. Sean has worked in petroleum market analysis for the EIA since 2006, where he has worked on global crude oil and refinery markets for the Short-Term Energy Outlook and Annual Energy Outlook, policy analysis on programmes such as the Renewable Fuel Standard and California Low-Carbon Fuel Standard, and has been a regulator contributor to the EIA’s Today in Energy and This Week in Petroleum publications. He received his BSc in economics from the University of Tennessee and an MSc in economics from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Monica has developed most of her career in Repsol. After three years working for BP Chemicals in London, she joined Repsol Trading in 2003 as products operator. She moved to petrochemicals trading in 2007 and then middle distillates trading in 2010. In 2015, she joined the crudes desk where she traded Sweet, Brazil and West Africa crudes. In 2018, Monica was appointed crude oil trading manager. The team focuses on supplying the refining system as well as trading Brazil, West Africa and Sour crudes. Скрыть

Pedro was appointed as commercial and marketing vice-president of the Ecopetrol Group, the largest oil and gas conglomerate in Colombia and one of the largest in Latin America, in April 2017. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Industrial University of Santander, a master’s degree in industrial and systems engineering from the University of Florida, where he was a Fulbright Scholar, and an MBA from the IE Business School in Madrid, Spain. He has more than 33 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and previously spent 15 years in the upstream business with Chevron petroleum company in different locations, and his last assignment was as the commercial and business planning manager for Chevron Latin America, where he also served as a member of the leadership team. Isabela is a specialist in economic law from FGV/SP law school in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She holds a master of laws in financial law and a PhD in energy, both from the University of Sao Paulo. She was a visiting scholar at the Centre for Environmental Policy at the Imperial College London in 2019. Currently, she is a lawyer and director of CCS Brazil, an organisation that promotes the implementation of geological carbon capture and storage projects in Brazil. Скрыть

Marco joined Saras Group in 1993 after a brief experience at Olivetti, where he held a number of roles in the trading and financial field. He initially served as Corporate Finance Manager and then moved on to the role of Investor Relations Manager. He later took up the role of Supply and Trading Director, with responsibilities overarching the entire supply chain. In 2015, Marco became Saras Trading’s Chief Executive and three years later, he was appointed the company’s Chief Commercial Officer. Скрыть

Mauricio Tolmasquim is Chief Energy Transition and Sustainability Officer at Petrobras. In 1981 he graduated in production engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro/UFRJ. In 1982, in economic sciences from the State University of Rio de Janeiro/UERJ, in 1984, he received a master's degree in energy planning from UFRJ and, in 1990, his doctorate in Socio Economie du Développement at the École des hautes études en sciences sociales/EHESS from France. He recently retired from his position as Full Professor of the Energy Planning Program of the Graduate Engineering Program/COPPE/UFRJ. He was CEO of the Empresa de Pesquisa Energética/EPE coordinating studies to subsidize the planning of the energy sector, covering electric power, oil and natural gas and their oil products and biofuels. Vanessa Viola is the Senior Vice-President of Latin America at Argus. She rejoined Argus in 2011 as our Brazil Country Manager and is now working to expand the company’s business across Latin America. Vanessa initially joined Argus in 2001, working as Deputy Editor of the Argus European Products report and Editor of the Argus International LPG report before leaving in 2005 to work as an LPG broker with Gibson in London. Prior to her assignments in the UK, Vanessa worked as a political and financial correspondent for Reuters (Brasilia, Sao Paulo), as a financial reporter for Brazil’s leading news agency Agencia Estado and as a press relations officer with energy engineering company Asea Brown Boveri, also based in Sao Paulo. A graduate from Brazil’s Casper Libero University with a BA in social communications, Vanessa has a master’s degree in international journalism from London’s City University. Eliah Ebsan has 12 years of solid experience in Sweet Crude trading with strong understanding of the Brazil, Waf and Asia markets. Mauricio serves as the Vice President of Digital Technologies & Supports at YPF, having formerly held the position of Vice President of Downstream. He is a professional with a degree in Industrial Engineering, an MBA, and postgraduate qualifications in Finance. His comprehensive skillset has enabled him to assume numerous roles and responsibilities throughout his career leading various facets of the industrial business. Mauricio is proficient in process safety, engineering, operations, logistics, midstream operations, as well as supply chain management and digital technologies integration. As an active participant in multiple boards of directors, Mauricio has been deeply involved with several of Argentina's foremost midstream oil companies. Notably, he served as the President of Trasandino Pipeline Company, where he spearheaded the efforts to re-initiate operations for the asset. Gus Vasquez has been the Argus Americas Crude Editor since the beginning of 2008. Prior to that he was a member of Argus’ European crude team, based out of London, where he covered the North Sea, Mediterra¬nean, Russian and west African crude markets. Francisco is an executive professional with more than 20 years of experience in the energy business, with vast experience in Oil and Gas and Power Generation. Francisco has worked in different roles including Sales and Marketing on Downstream at YPF, Sales and Business Development of Crude Oil and Natural Gas at Occidental Exploration and Production, then managing commercial areas at Argentinian service company Industrias JF Secco, to become General Manager of temporary power company Aggreko Argentina. He also carried out the start-up of the local branch for Brazilian firm Tecnogera as Country Manager. Francisco is now Executive Trading Manager of Vista Energy.
