Vast Infraestrutura

Vast Infraestrutura (former Açu Petróleo until April 2022) provides infrastructure and logistics solutions to handle and transport liquids in a safe, efficient, clean and sustainable manner for the energy market. We began our operations in August 2016 and we provide transshipment services for the major oil operators in Brazil. In 2022, we handled more than 30% of the volume of Brazil’s oil exports. We own a private terminal in Brazil for the transshipment of oil in sheltered waters and it is designed to operate a wide range of vessels, including VLCC (Very Large Crude Carrier) class vessels. Our terminal is located in Porto do Açu, São João da Barra, in the north of the state of Rio de Janeiro. This is a privileged location, close to the main oil-producing fields in the Campos and Santos basins, a region where pre-salt oil exploration is predominant. Our infrastructure allows us to carry out oil transshipment operations in sheltered waters, reducing exposure to the weather conditions, making our operations safe, more predictable, and with less environmental risk. Looking to the future, we are diversifying our business portfolio with the implementation of two important strategic projects. One of them is the SPOT project, which foresees the construction of a crude oil storage facility with a capacity of 5.7 million barrels and two oil pipelines connecting Açu to the current pipeline network in the State of Rio de Janeiro. In addition, we are developing a project to build a new terminal to handle clean fuels and biofuels. The terminal is also aiming to handle liquids from a low-carbon energy matrix to supply this market in the future. We have consolidated our position as an important company in our sector, contributing to the present and looking to the future of the infrastructure and logistic solutions in Brazil.
