Mark Lashier is President and Chief Executive Officer of Phillips 66, a diversified energy company. A chemical engineer, he has over 30 years of experience in executive leadership roles within the energy and petrochemical industries. Mark previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Phillips 66. Before that, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Chevron Phillips Chemical Company, a joint venture between Phillips 66 and Chevron, from 2017 to 2021. He previously held several leadership positions at CPChem. Mark began his career at Phillips Petroleum in 1989 as an Associate Research Engineer. He serves on the boards of several industry groups and nonprofits, including American Fuel and Petrochemical Manufacturers, the Greater Houston Partnership, Iowa State University’s College of Engineering Industrial Advisory Council, Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas and the American Cancer Society’s Chief Executive Officer Against Cancer. Daniel co-founded Mercuria Energy Trading in 2004 together with Marco Dunand. Before this, he directed the launch of Sempra Oil Trading in Europe, where he was responsible for trading operations in Europe and Asia. From 1994 to 1999, Daniel directed oil trading operations at Salomon Brothers in London, covering Europe and Asia. From 1987 to 1994, while based in London at Goldman Sachs’ J. Aron division, he traded crude and petrochemical feedstocks. Prior to that, he was at Cargill International in Switzerland, responsible for trading naphtha and LPG. A Swiss citizen, Daniel studied political science at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Paris, the University of Geneva and the Institut des Hautes Etudes Internationales. Michael Cohen is Chief US Economist and Head of Oil and Refining in bp’s Economic and Energy Insights team. In this role, he is responsible for short, medium, and long term oil market analysis and North American energy policy related analysis in bp’s Statistical Review of World Energy and Energy Outlook. The team helps inform decision making for bp’s board and executive team as well as for the Upstream, Downstream, Government Affairs, Trading, and Fuels/Marketing businesses. Prior to joining bp in May 2019, Mr. Cohen was Barclays’ Global Head of Commodities Research and was responsible for preparing and delivering differentiated research on commodities markets to Barclays’ global corporate and institutional investor client base. He worked for a decade in the public sector as an Economist with the US Energy Information Administration, the Department of Energy’s Office of Policy and International Affairs, as well as two years in Paris as a senior member of the Oil Markets Division at the International Energy Agency. Prior to government service, Mr. Cohen worked on electricity market design for LECG (now Navigant) and as a trading desk analyst for American Electric Power. Michael also serves as a non-resident fellow at the Colorado School of Mines and frequently lectures on energy, oil markets, and geopolitics at several universities. Brian Freed joined EPIC Midstream in July 2019 as the company’s President and was promoted to Chief Executive Officer and a member of the EPIC Midstream Board of Directors in November 2020. Prior to joining EPIC Midstream, Mr Freed’s business experience most recently included serving as the Senior Vice-President, Midstream and Marketing, of Apache Corporation, starting in April 2017. While at Apache, Mr Freed also founded Altus Midstream and took the company public as Altus’ first CEO in November 2018. Prior to joining Apache, Mr Freed served as Senior Vice-President of commercial operations, Western United States, for Crestwood Equity Partners LP from 2015 to 2017, and Vice-President of Crude Logistics for Crestwood and Inergy Midstream, LP (which merged with Crestwood in 2013) from 2012 to 2015. Prior to joining Inergy, Mr Freed served as Vice-President of Business Development for Rangeland Energy from 2011 until its sale to Inergy in 2012. In 2010, Mr Freed led the merger and recapitalisation of Energy Solutions International with Entessa Inc, and he served as Chief Executive Officer of Energy Solutions International until it was sold to Oaktree Capital in 2010. Mr Freed remained with Energy Solutions International as a member of the board and audit committee until the company was sold by Oaktree Capital to Emerson in 2015. Prior to Energy Solutions International, Mr Freed founded Entessa Inc and served as President, CEO and Chairman from its founding in 2002 until it merged with Energy Solutions International in 2010. Mr Freed graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in finance from West Virginia University and served with honour and distinction as a field artillery officer in the United States Army, achieving the rank of captain. Colin E. Parfitt is vice president of Midstream, a position he has held since 2019. He is responsible for the company’s shipping, pipeline, power, value chain optimization, and supply and trading operating units. Previously Parfitt was president of Supply and Trading where he was responsible for Chevron’s global trading activities for crude oil, feedstocks, refined products, natural gas and gas liquids to support the company’s crude and gas production operations and refining and marketing network. Prior to that role Parfitt was vice president, Sales & Marketing, for Chevron Oronite Company LLC. Dr. Dean Foreman is Chief Economist for the American Petroleum Institute. He earned his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Florida and brings more than 20 years of industry experience in corporate strategic planning, forecasting, risk management, and finance. Before joining API, Dr. Foreman was the lead economist for ExxonMobil Corporate Planning between 2002 and 2008. From 2009 to 2013, he was a member of the executive team at Canadian-based exploration and production company Talisman Energy, where he focused on corporate planning, hedging/marketing, and business development. In 2013 to 2015, he directed the risk management function in North America for South African energy and petrochemical conglomerate Sasol, where he helped drive business cases for $25 billion in U.S. mega projects, including the $11 billion ethane cracker and derivatives complex in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Euan Craik is Head of Oil and served on the board of directors of Argus Media Limited from 2005 until 2016. Since 2006, Euan has led the Argus management team in the Americas, expanding the reach of offices and breadth of services.
