The Bioenergy Association represents its members based in New Zealand and Australia. We provide assistance and a wealth of bioenergy information to support members' business and promote their expertise and capabilities for undertaking activities in the New Zealand, SE Asia, Australian and the Pacific market with regards to bioenergy related solutions. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in bioenergy. Our members include land and forestry owners, wood processors, feedstock suppliers, waste managers, fuel and energy suppliers, equipment supplies, manufacturers, consultants, contractors, energy researchers, educators, regulators and investors. We advocate to Government on bioenergy related policy, develop best practice Technical Guides for New Zealand and Australia, host workshops and webinars and assist potential investors in bioenergy based solutions to assess technologies, market opportunities and market risks. The Bioenergy Association has three special topic interest group websites for promoting the experience and capabilities of its members. Bioenergy Europe is the voice of European bioenergy. It aims to develop a sustainable bioenergy market based on fair business conditions. Founded in 1990, Bioenergy Europe is a non-profit, Brussels-based international organisation bringing together 41 associations and 143 companies, as well as academia and research institutes from across Europe.
The Japan Woody Bioenergy Association's mission is as follows: Japan Woody Bioenergy Association is an organization that aims to expand the appropriate use of woody bioenergy. In order to achieve our objectives, related businesses and parties cooperate with each other and share wisdom and information to promote the use of wood biomass energy strategically and comprehensively.
MBIC was formed as a non-profit organisation to develop the biomass industries in Malaysia through strategic partnership among biomass SMEs, major feedstock owners, research institutes, and other local and international biomass stakeholders. In the long term, MBIC aims to be the strategic platform where various biomass sectors are able to synergize their needs and interests for the development of biomass industry as a whole. MBIC will also act as a platform to commercialise, market and utilise the applications of high value biomass products, whilst promoting the principle of sustainable consumption and production, and to maintain a conducive ecosystem for the sustainable growth of biomass industry. Through MBIC, relationships will be fostered through dialogue sessions with government agencies, research institutions, civil societies, as well as local and international bodies, to create and foster awareness of the biomass industry's contribution towards climate change mitigation efforts. Leveraging on the wide spectrum of expertise, strength and network of MBIC members, MBIC aspires to lead Malaysia to be recognised internationally as a biomass hub.
Korea Forest Biomass Energy Association (KFBEA) was formed in 2009 to revitalise Korea's forest biomass energy industry. The association is engaged in various tasks such as R&D, pellet supply, and utilisation of forest biomass. As South Korea’s leading industry association for woody biomass, its members include pellet makers, pellet boiler companies, plant equipment, traders, research institutes, and inspection institutes.
VIFORES was established in 2000 to converge Vietnamese wood processing and trading enterprises. It has over 1000 enterprise members, including most of larger Vietnamese wood and non-wood business entities and certain number of FDI companies. As Vietnam emerging as one of the top wood product exporters worldwide, VIFORES strives to promote responsible wood processing and trading amongst its members, and represents Vietnamese wood industry sector in different initiatives/processes towards sustainable forest management.
Bioenergy International is an English language subscription-based trade publication with allied web platform and is focused on the biomass-to-energy value chains; solid, liquid or gas. Founded in 2001, it is based in Stockholm, Sweden and owned by SBSAB, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Swedish Bioenergy Association, SVEBIO.
Since its launch in 2010, Bioenergy Insight has swiftly built up a reputation for delivering quality news, analysis, market information and technical articles relating to the biomass, biogas and biopower industries.
