Fernando joined Koch in 2015 and moved to Uruguay to lead the specialty fertilizer business as Regional Director. He has been in the fertilizer industry for more than 26 years, starting his career in Argentina with Agrium (now Nutrien), where he worked for about 14 years, holding several different positions related to planning, trading, logistics, marketing and sales. Agrium appointed him to be part of the team that worked with Profertil in 1999. At Profertil he led a team that designed, implemented and executed the commercial strategy for the business, holding different positions related to sales and marketing for the domestic and international markets. Fernando holds a minor in agronomy, a major in agribusiness and an executive MBA.

Previously, he implemented and co-ordinated the department of agriculture at São Paulo’s FNP Consulting and Commerce, where he developed and managed studies and projects related to the country’s agriculture. He worked in the risk management area through the use of the futures markets in the Brazilian Mercantile & Futures Exchange and the Chicago Board of Trade. Anderson serves on the board of the International Service for the Acquisition of Agri-biotech Applications and is an associate consultant at GV Consult at the São Paulo School of Business Administration. An agronomic engineer, he graduated from the Federal University of Uberlândia and holds a post-graduate degree in business administration from the Getulio Vargas Foundation.

Franck Hennequart is director of research and innovation at the Normandy research centre of French start-up Algaia, which specialises in providing consultancy, analyses and bioactivity tests for the valorisation of algae in various applications. He graduated from the marine biology and biotechnology laboratory of the University of Caen in France, specialising in the valorisation of marine resources, and began his career in France with several aquaculture research and lecturing contracts, before working for three years in British Columbia, Canada, as R&D project assistant for a provincial organisation promoting partnership between industry and research groups on technological transfer in aquaculture. He has since worked as a consultant for the seaweed industry, and as project co-ordinator in the molecular glycobiotechnology group of the biochemistry department at the National University of Ireland, Galway. He also helped set up OGT, an Irish company that develops novel seaweed extracts, and following its acquisition by Spanish company Tradecorp International in June 2014 became global seaweed project manager for the whole group.
