Speaker: Marlon Arraes, Director of the Biofuels Department, Ministry of Mines and Energy

Federal Public Servant, belonging to the career of Specialist in Public Policies and Government Management (EPPGG), admitted to the public service by Public Contest in 2003.
Graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Brasília, with specialization in Executive Management of the Oil and Natural Gas Industry from the Brazilian Institute of Petroleum – IBP and with specialization from the University of Missouri in U.S. Biofuel Policy & Regulation.

From 2005 to 2022, he served as General Coordinator for Ethanol in the Department of Biofuels, responsible for monitoring the supply and conditions of the Ethanol market and coordinating the evaluation and proposal of sectorial public policies related to the Ethanol Fuel sector.

He currently holds the position of Director of the Department of Biofuels and acts in the planning, elaboration, implementation, monitoring, coordination and execution of programs, actions and preventive and corrective measures, with emphasis on guaranteeing the supply of biofuels in the national territory and in the protection of the interests of the consumer in terms of price, quality and offer of products.
