US-based oil products supplier and trader Novum Energy, with the assistance of marine fuel broker Ches Bunker Services, has commenced offering marine fuel in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico.

Bunker demand in Yabucoa is driven by oil tankers. The company supplies high-sulphur 380cst fuel oil and 0.1pc sulphur maximum marine gasoil via pipe. Novum rents storage at the Buckeye oil terminal in Yabucoa. It is the only marine fuel supplier in the port, located on the southeastern coast of the island. The busiest marine fuel port in Puerto Rico is San Juan on the northeastern coast. The only marine fuel supplier in San Juan is Harbor Bunkering, which operates three barges.
