Valero shut its 325,000 b/d refinery in Port Arthur, Texas, amid overnight flooding and potential power outages.
The company reported the refinery shut today at 1pm ET.
The remnants of Hurricane Harvey dropped at least 12.5 inches of rain in nine hours in the Port Arthur area as it moved northeast toward Louisiana, according to the National Weather Service.
