The Sri Lankan agriculture ministry has issued a tender today to buy 30,000t of urea, 15,000t of TSP and 3,000t of MOP.
The government received four offers of Chinese TSP, ranging from $324.30-339.24/t cfr including credit for 180 days. The lowest offer was from Golden Barley.
Offers were as below:
- Golden Barley offered at $324.30/t cfr with 180 days' credit and $329.50/t cfr with 270 days' credit
- Agri-Commodities offered at $331.50/t cfr with 180 days' credit and $334.50/t cfr with 270 days' credit for shipment in containers. It offered at $345.50/t cfr with 180 days' credit and $349.50/t cfr with 270 days' credit for bulk shipment.
- Swiss Singapore offered at $333.20/t cfr with 180 days' credit and $335.55/t cfr with 270 days' credit
- Valency offered at $339.24/t cfr with 180 days' credit and $342.24/t cfr with 270 days' credit
Sri Lanka is an occasional buyer of TSP, importers received around 40,000t of TSP in 2016, latest IFA data show.
