Sri Lanka issues tender to buy urea, TSP

Sri Lankan state-owned firms Ceylon Fertilizer and Colombo Commercial Fertilizers have issued a tender to buy urea and TSP closing on 3 July.

The combined tender requests 54,000t of granular urea, 6,500t of prilled urea and 15,000t of TSP to be delivered to Colombo during September, or within 42 days of the letter of credit being opened.

Sri Lanka's Ministry of Agriculture earlier this month tendered to buy 30,000t of urea, 15,000t of TSP and 3,000t of MOP.

Urea offers under the tender that closed on 12 June ranged from $292.38-317.78/t cfr including 180 days' credit, TSP offers were in a $324.30-339.24/t cfr range including 180 days' credit and MOP offers were in a $318.75-339.74/t cfr range including 180 days' credit.
