Monjasa delivers first VLSFO cargo to Cartagena

Danish bunker supplier Monjasa said that it delivered a cargo of very low sulphur fuel oil (VLSFO) to Cartagena, Colombia, this month, its first VLSFO shipment in South America.

The LPG tanker Penelope M, which is owned by trading firm Geogas, carried the 250t of VLSFO . The product was supplied on 1 October and its specifications are ISO 8217.

Monjasa said it plans to sell VLSFO and marine gasoil (MGO) 0.1pc in Cartagena, where it has two vessels and shore tanks to supply and deliver the fuel.

It has similar plans for Panama, where it will have three vessels in Balboa, including the 8,800-deadweight t tanker Accra, which the company purchased in August 2019. It will also have one tanker supplying VLSFO and MGO in Cristobal, on Panama's Caribbean coast.
