German renewables developer Anumar has been given the green light for the construction of a 75MW solar photovoltaic (PV) park located in western-central Germany.

The plant will be located in the city of Rosenthal, in the German state of Hesse, the firm said.

The local council last week approved the construction of the plant. The power produced from the site will be sold through a power purchase agreement (PPA), the firm said, but it did not reveal more details.

Norwegian state-owned utility Statkraft in October last year signed a 10-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Anumar for the power produced at its 120MW Schornhof solar park in the southern German state of Bavaria.

The two companies in July last year signed an 11-year PPA for 50MW of capacity at the same solar park, along with a direct marketing contract for 30MW covered by Germany's direct marketing scheme under the EEG law.
