Bahia state distribution company Bahiagas has launched an open season for biomethane projects.
The company is looking to buy a fixed volume of 2,000 m³/d of biomethane for a 10-year period, starting in 2025. The open season will accept proposals until 6pm local time on 12 July.
Bahiagas is not the first company to look for green gas alternatives in Brazil, with fertilizer company Yara and automaker Volkswagen buying all the output of Raizen's new 71,233 m³/d biomethane plant.
