Brazilian state privatizes power generator
Brazil's Rio Grande do Sul state sold its power generation company CEEE-G to environmental solutions company Companhia Florestal do Brasil for R1.8bn ($348.8mn).
CEEE-G holds 922MW in installed generating capacity distributed between 15 hydropower plants. The plants will now be managed through 30-year public concessions, except for the Ivai and Toca hydro plants.
