Brazil revises 2023 power demand growth
Brazil's power demand will increase by 2.6pc in 2023 from a year earlier to an average 71,569MW, according to national power operator ONS.
The country also expects distributed generation to reach an average 3,155MW.
Factors such as a slow global economy pressed with high inflationary rates, a high base interest rate in Brazil and political developments such as a new fiscal anchor and an upcoming tax reform influenced the calculation.
