California CARBOB production increased last week after five weeks of declines while inventories fell.
CARBOB output averaged 859,000 b/d in the week ended 21 July, up from 842,000 b/d in the prior week, according to the California Energy Commission (CEC). Inventories of the in-state gasoline decreased by 1.8pc to 5.5mn bl from the prior week.
Total California gasoline production decreased by 4.2pc to 955,000 b/d over the same period.
California jet fuel output for the week ended 21 July fell by 8.8pc to 304,000 b/d from the prior week. Stockpiles were down by 1.6pc to 2.67mn bl over the period. The Energy Information Administration (EIA) showed overall US west coast jet fuel imports increased to 101,000 b/d, up from 49,000 b/d in the previous week.
In-state CARB diesel production decreased to 111,000 b/d, down by 22pc on the week. CARB diesel supplies increased by 9pc to 1.93mn bl, according to CEC data.
Production of other diesel fuels in California — including export-grade EPA ultra-low sulphur diesel (ULSD) and renewable diesel (RD) — increased to 112,000 b/d, up from 83,000 b/d in the prior week. Inventories were down by 11.8pc to 1.51mn
California crude throughputs were down by 0.6pc to 1.51mn b/d on the week. California crude stockpiles rose by 8.6pc to 14.16mn bl.
