Bunker Holding subsidiary KPI OceanConnect has completed its first bunkering of LNG to Switzerland's Mediterranean shipping company (MSC) in Singapore while the company's ship was in operation.
The operation took place at the Tuas container terminal — where LNG was supplied to MSC's Monica Cristina. The delivery was conducted though a barge operated by Singapore's Pavilion Energy.
Argus assessed the price of LNG as a bunker fuel on a dob northwest Europe basis at $470.46/t very-low sulphur fuel oil energy density equivalent (VLSFOe) during March, a discount of just under $108/t to VLSFO dob Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) and a discount of $163.36/t to VLSFO dob Singapore during the same month.
