Polish diesel production rose to its highest in nine months in July as output of gasoline weakened both on the year and on the month, according to figures released by the country's statistics office GUS.
Diesel production rose by 6pc on the year to more than 1.42mn t in July, the highest monthly figure since October 2023 (see table). Overall, in January-July diesel output from Polish refineries was 7pc up on the year to more than 9.33mn t.
Production of gasoline eased from a multi-year high in June, falling by 4pc on the year to 479,000t in July. Year to date output of gasoline was nearly 12pc up on the year at more than 3.25mn t.
Output of heating oil and base oils was down as production of LPG and bitumen rose on the year in July.
