US steel tube maker Atlas Tube has raised its mechanical, hollow structural sections (HSS) and piling prices.
The company raised prices on its mechanical and HSS square and equivalent rectangle products up to 14in by $40/short ton (st), according to a 10 January announcement.
The company also raised prices for its mechanical and HSS rounds through 28in outside diameter by $40/st.
Prices for orders with shipments through 8 February are protected. The new prices will apply to all unconfirmed quotes and contracts.
