Indian producer and importer Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers (RCF) awarded its tender to buy 50,000t (±10pc) of NPK 15-15-15 to trading firm Chasemax International DMCC in the low-$510s/t cfr India.
The tender closed on 4 September, with Chasemax the sole participant.
The award is down from RCF's previous NPK 15-15-15 purchase, also from Chasemax, which was at $527/t cfr in July.
The tender requested nitrophosphate 15-15-15, whose production entails use of nitric acid. Unlike the phosphoric acid method, this requires no additional sulphur, making it more economic at present.
The tender seeks shipment to any Indian east coast port, with loading by 5 October.
