Spanish auto LPG demand rises again

Spanish demand for road-use LPG continued its year-on-year growth in September, according to energy regulator the CNMC.

Auto LPG demand in September rose by 19pc to 3,218 tonnes, up from 2,703t in the same month last year. Spanish demand has now registered 45 months of consecutive growth — aside from December 2013.

In the first nine months of this year, consumption grew by 16.6pc year on year to 26,212t. Demand growth is the result of increased LPG use in public transport fleets, as well as incentives to switch to LPG for road haulage.
