German investment firm Commerz Real has terminated its share purchase agreement with Swedish wind farm developer Eolus Wind for three planned onshore wind farms in southern Sweden, with a combined capacity of 68MW, owing to some project milestones not being met.

The three wind farms include the 24MW Boarp in Vaggeryd municipality, the 26MW Dallebo in Ulricehamn municipality and the 18MW Rosenskog in Falkoping municipality.

Eolus will immediately restart the sales process for the three wind projects, it said yesterday. It will pay a termination fee of €200,000 to Commerz Real.

The start of commercial operations at the wind farms is unchanged and is still expected by autumn 2023, although any changes could be dependent on the resale outcome, Eolus told Argus today.

Eolus first announced the sale of the wind farms to Commerz Real in September 2020.
