Japanese refiner and petrochemical producer Tonen General plans to raise operating rates at its Kawasaki cracker to 95pc this weekend.
The company cut operating rates at the cracker to 65pc a week ago because of bad weather caused by a typhoon. The unit has ethylene, propylene and butadiene production capacities of 540,000 t/yr, 300,000 t/yr and 105,000 t/yr respectively.
