The LBC terminal on Galveston bay near Houston, Texas, reported the release of an estimated 20 gallons of benzene from a bleeder valve Tuesday.
Clean-up began immediately at Dock 2 of the facility, according to a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. The LBC terminal handles both petrochemicals and refined products.
