Perth-based lithium developer Ardiden has significantly increased the mineral resource at its Seymour Lake project in northwest Ontario province, Canada.

The overall inferred and indicated resource at the North Aubry and South Aubry deposits has been increased by almost 400pc to 4.8mn t grading 1.25pc lithium oxide and 186ppm tantalite oxide. A maiden resource of 1.23mn t was announced in October 2017.

The company expects to increase the resource further through drilling and assays within an additional exploration target of 4.5mn-7.2mn t.

The first phase of the project's growth plan has been completed and the company is now evaluating strategies to fast-track the development of the project.
